February 7th, 2023 – IDinsight is excited to partner with the Government of Punjab in India to support the development, monitoring and evaluation of public programs designed for Punjab’s unique social, economic and geographic environment.

The Government of Punjab aims to use data and evidence to improve program implementation and service delivery for its 29.6 million citizens. Currently, IDinsight is supporting the Chief Minister’s Office in building a sophisticated dashboard that aggregates key indicators across departments. It aims to showcase a large amount of relevant information in a user-friendly manner to enable efficient, data-based decision-making at different levels of administration.

The Punjab Cabinet approved the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Department of Governance Reforms and IDinsight India Private Limited on  November 18, 2022. As part of the MoU, the government will collaborate with IDinsight India to seek the services of experts on a pro-bono basis to enhance the department’s abilities to use data and evidence in service of better governance. This effort aims to bring greater professional expertise in creating a citizen-centric governance ecosystem in the State.

“We at IDinsight are truly excited to support the Government of Punjab in its good governance agenda. This MoU provides us with an opportunity to work on data-informed governance with multiple state departments. Through this collaboration, IDinsight will use its expertise and experience in public policy, data systems, measurement and evaluation to assist Punjab’s policymakers in effective use of data and evidence to improve lives of the state’s citizens,” said Neha Raykar, Associate Director, IDinsight.

The MOU was signed on December 8, 2022, by Shri Tejveer Singh, IAS, Principal Secretary, Department of Governance Reforms and Mallika Ahluwalia, India Regional Director, IDinsight, in Chandigarh.
