Question 1

This question just asks whether you remember what the slides covered. Under theory of change thinking, we discussed “Asking ‘Why’ 5 Times” (especially for identifying nodes in Backwards Mapping, or identifying assumptions in forward mapping), “Roll-playing” (to understand stakeholders: what are the incentives for our staff, or target population to do what our ToC says they will do?), and Pre-null thinking (assume the program failed; why might that be?). We did not discuss identifying mediators and moderators in “ToC Thinking” (although they often map to intermediate outcomes and assumptions, respectively).
