Our team develops data science solutions though a highly iterative process that begins with the problem and the user. We assess the problem in detail and map out the user journey to ensure we have a deep understanding of the client’s or partner’s needs and challenges or can reasonably construct a use-case for a product. 

Based on these insights, we develop the data science solution. The development process cycles through phases of development, evaluation, testing, and feedback for iterative improvement. Where appropriate, the improvements are continuously integrated into the deployed version.

The solution we develop can be a bespoke model that addresses particular needs of a partner or a product that solves the same problem for a myriad of social sector organizations.

2. Tailored approach

With this approach, our team starts with the partner’s questions or challenges and then designs solutions using data science tools to support their progress, answer their questions or make their program more impactful.  We collaborate closely to deeply understand our partners’ current processes and systems and map out data science applications that can integrate into their day-to-day operations. If we don’t think a data science solution is the best approach, we will say so and offer alternative options.

All solutions we build for our partners are tested for both bias and performance with careful documentation of our code so that solutions can be maintained and expanded upon by IDinsight, our partners, and any future collaborators.

IDinsight’s Data Science team includes full-stack data scientists, machine learning engineers and product managers – the majority based in countries where we have offices. Our team has expertise in GenAI, machine learning, and statistics, as well as the capacity to build and deploy end-to-end software solutions.

Our teams work closely with nonprofits, governments, philanthropies, and international agencies in designing and deploying AI solutions. We help identify how AI can enhance their operations, increase their impact, and improve their resource allocation. We build solutions tailored to their needs using best-in-class methods and tools.
