In his role, Jake supports the implementation of impact evaluations and decision-focused research projects across sub-Saharan Africa. He has contributed to projects in health, women’s economic empowerment, and livelihoods development. Before joining IDinsight, Jake worked with the Mennonite Central Committee in Kigali, Rwanda. He worked on their conservation agriculture and financial inclusion projects, building M&E processes to measure impact. During his master’s degree, he worked with Creative Associates, an international development organization in Washington, DC, where he created M&E training modules and worked on developing the organization’s global indicator systems. Jake has completed an M.A. in International Development (Quantitative and Economic Development) at American University and a B.A. in Business Administration (Finance) at Messiah University.
