Penny Davis is an Associate Director at IDinsight, based in Nairobi, Kenya.
Penny leads many of the projects in IDinsight’s East Africa portfolio. She is passionate about working with partners to address some of East Africa’s most pressing challenges, including youth unemployment, protracted refugee crises and smallholder farmer livelihoods.
Penny has a wealth of experience advising partner and government officials at the highest levels. Prior to joining IDinsight, Penny worked for the Australian aid program for over ten years. In this time she developed an innovative, decision-focused evaluation system for the A$4 billion aid program, drove evaluation capacity building efforts, and oversaw the Australian Government’s disaster management program in Indonesia.
Penny holds a bachelor’s degree with honors in International Relations from the University of Queensland, and a Masters of Monitoring and Evaluation from the University of Melbourne. In her spare time she enjoys mountain biking and catering to the whims of her children.
