Sonakshi Sharma is a Manager at IDinsight, based in New Delhi.
In her role as a Manager, Sonakshi coordinates client development efforts and contributes to regional growth strategy for India. She also manages client-facing engagements. Most recently, Sonakshi co-lead rapid evaluations of education technology products for improving student learning as part of an engagement with Central Square Foundation.
Previously, Sonakshi was based in Zambia with IDinsight for almost 2 years. She worked across sectors and clients including on an impact evaluation for the TechnoServe R&D coalition in Mozambique, a mixed-methods evaluation for an Education Quality improvement program in Uganda and Ghana, and an engagement in Ethiopia to evaluate the impact of an improved variety of chicken on small-holder farmers.
Prior to joining IDinsight, Sonakshi worked for Innovations for Poverty Action and managed a large scale randomized controlled trial (RCT) for a maternal mortality reduction intervention in Lusaka, Zambia.
Sonakshi holds a bachelor's degree in Economics and Statistics from St. Xavier's College, Mumbai and a master's in International and Development Economics from Yale University. While at Yale, Sonakshi worked on a consulting engagement with Plan International for their Because I'm a Girl Program. Sonakshi is fluent in English and Hindi.
