How we support

Philanthropies have a special role to play in supporting the use of data and evidence. For their own decision-making, they have opportunities to apply data analytics, systematic reviews of evidence, and other tools to answer key questions: Which investment will maximize our social impact in a specific sector and country? How can we measure our progress to achieving our ambitious goals? What impact are we having across our grant portfolio? Philanthropies also influence the non-profit sector in a powerful way through the support they provide to NGOs to improve monitoring and evaluation.

IDinsight has a strong track record working with a range of philanthropic organizations, providing data- and evidence-driven advisory services to help develop and implement investment frameworks.

We also draw from a deep skillset and strong project management capabilities to help philanthropies design the support they provide to NGO partners to build monitoring and evaluation capacity. To inform decisions by both NGOs and their funders, we design and conduct independent external evaluations, including within the context of results-based funding.
