In his role, Akashmegh has supported IDinsight’s work with NITI Aayog and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation on the Aspirational Districts Programme, where he has helped conceptualize a large-scale data verification strategy and piloted tools to improve the quality of administrative data across health, education, and nutrition sectors. Previously, he worked with the Delhi Government’s COVID-19 response team, helping design data systems for patient tracking and conducting surveys to improve employment-related programs. Before joining IDinsight, Akashmegh worked as a Risk Manager at IIFL Home Finance, where he contributed to product, policy, and risk management initiatives and supported capital raising efforts. Akashmegh holds a bachelor’s degree in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics from Ashoka University, where he was part of the founding undergraduate cohort. He also completed a postgraduate diploma under the Ashoka Scholars Programme. He has research and field experience from internships at the Centre for Policy Research and the Trivedi Centre for Political Data.
