Akashmegh Sharma is the Chief of Staff for DataDelta at IDinsight, where he supports the Global Lead in driving strategic, operational, and financial initiatives across India, Kenya, and the Philippines. Akashmegh supported IDinsight’s work with NITI Aayog and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation on the Aspirational Districts Programme, where he has helped conceptualize a large-scale data verification strategy and piloted tools to improve the quality of administrative data across health, education, and nutrition sectors. Previously, he worked with the Delhi Government’s COVID-19 response team, helping design data systems for patient tracking and conducting surveys to improve employment-related programs. Before joining IDinsight, Akashmegh worked as a Risk Manager at IIFL Home Finance, where he contributed to product, policy, and risk management initiatives and supported capital raising efforts. Akashmegh holds a bachelor’s degree in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics from Ashoka University, where he was part of the founding undergraduate cohort. He also completed a postgraduate diploma under the Ashoka Scholars Programme. He has research and field experience from internships at the Centre for Policy Research and the Trivedi Centre for Political Data.
