Alix Bonargent is an Economist at IDinsight, based in Nairobi, Kenya. In her role, she provides technical expertise in the design and execution of research projects. Before joining IDinsight, Alix worked with Innovations for Poverty Action supporting policy evaluations in the health and education sectors in West Africa. She also served at the World Bank in Sierra Leone, contributing to post-Ebola recovery planning with the Ministry of Health and Sanitation. Alix holds a PhD in Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science, where her work explored how academic research influence policy decisions and the determinants of evidence uptake by policymakers, with a focus on research co-creation. She also studied at the Paris School of Economics and Sorbonne University. She is fluent in English and French.
