Arkadeep Bandyopadhyay is a Delhi-based Junior Economist who is currently a member of IDinsight’s Research, Evaluation, and Data (RED) team. In his role, he is involved in various projects that are focused on governance, public health, and education. He is experienced in working with both governments (Government of Delhi) and NGOs (Language and Learning Foundation, IMAGO, New Incentives). Previously he was a client-facing Senior Associate and worked on the BRAC learning partnership. Here, he was responsible for project execution and internal project management. As part of the project’s deliverables, he developed a dashboard aimed at improving BRAC’s community healthcare program. Before joining IDinsight, Arkadeep gained valuable primary research experience while serving as a Research Analyst at the International Food Policy Research Institute in Washington, D.C. His research interests were focused on nutrition and sustainable agriculture systems. He also served as a Research Associate at MIT’s Jameel Poverty Action Lab, where he managed large-scale survey operations. Arkadeep holds a Master of Science degree in Economics from the Paris School of Economics, where he received the Charpak scholarship. He also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from Presidency University, Kolkata.
