As a member of Client Facing team, Calvin supports a range of projects across social protection, WASH, livelihoods, health, and AI, with a focus on research, data, and implementation to inform decisions and improve program impact in Eastern and Southern Africa. Previously, he was a Research Associate at Innovations for Poverty Action (IPA), where he managed data collection for an impact evaluation of GiveDirectly’s large unconditional cash transfer program in rural Malawi. Calvin also served as a team leader for an Environmental and Socio Impact Assessment (ESIA) for the Fufu hydropower project. He also contributed to IMPAQ International’s impact evaluation on interventions to combat child labour in Malawi. Calvin holds a Master of Public Health (MPH) from the Hebrew University and a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Statistics from the University of Malawi.
