Chetna is currently a part of IDinsight’s embedded unit with the Planning Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh, to provide data and evidence-based advisory to advance the state’s economic development goals. Over the past year in Lucknow, she has worked closely with the Finance Department towards improved monitoring systems and streamlined processes, with a focus on enhancing the state’s fiscal health. Prior to this, she contributed to a process evaluation of IMAGO and SEWA’s women-led agribusiness initiative and supported IDinsight’s collaboration with Indus Action to develop an organisational monitoring dashboard. Before joining IDinsight, Chetna led the Monitoring and Evaluation team at TARA Foundation and worked with Ashoka University’s Centre for Social Impact and Philanthropy. Earlier in her career, she was with PRADAN, where she focused on gender sensitisation and governance programs in the indigenous communities of Betul district, Madhya Pradesh. She also spent a year volunteering with Vishwa Vatsalya Manav Sewa Trust, a grassroots NGO in Amreli district, Gujarat, where she designed and implemented a curriculum under an education initiative for marginalised communities. Chetna holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Liberal Studies from Ashoka University and a bachelor’s degree in Statistics from Sri Venkateswara College, Delhi University.
