Claire Ricard is an Economist and Morocco Office Lead at IDinsight, based in Rabat, Morocco.

Claire brings over a decade of experience specializing in education and socioeconomic dynamics in Morocco. She leads technical aspects of evaluations across the region and recently co-led the Value of Information project. Beyond her project leadership, Claire is dedicated to capacity building, mentoring her team on advanced data analysis and visualization.

Before joining IDinsight, Claire was a consultant with the Partnership for Economic Policy and a lecturer in project management and risk simulation at the University of Clermont Auvergne. Her academic contributions include research on gender and education published in the Journal of Human Capital and the Journal of Development Economics.

Claire holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Clermont Auvergne and FSJES – Aïn Chock, Hassan II University. Her doctoral research specifically analyzed household investments in education and gender in the Moroccan context. She speaks French, English, intermediate German, and basic Moroccan Arabic.
