Gunjan works within the State Capacity portfolio under Mission Karmayogi, where she leads streams on urban growth, performance management, and strengthening government delivery systems. Previously, Gunjan worked in Washington, DC, where she led projects focused on improving the integrity and performance of aid delivery systems across East Africa and the Middle East. She evaluated aid distribution programs – assessing supply chains, last-mile delivery systems, and digital platforms that enabled real-time oversight in fragile contexts. Within the Indian development context, she has supported impact assessments and compliance reviews for civil society organizations working to strengthen evidence use, accountability, and service delivery. Gunjan holds a Master’s in Public Policy from Georgetown University and is a Chartered Accountant by training. She is fluent in English and Hindi, and is actively learning Korean and Spanish.
