Gursimran Wadhawan (India)

Senior Manager

Gursimran Wadhawan is a Senior Manager at IDinsight, based in Shillong, Meghalaya.

In her role, Gursimran leads the organization’s engagement with the Government of Meghalaya to strengthen institutional capacity and drive performance management reforms across key departments. She works closely with senior government officials to align individual roles and competencies with departmental goals, promote data-driven decision-making, and embed sustainable governance reforms.

Prior to joining IDinsight, Dr. Wadhawan led large-scale public health and development programs with organizations such as the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW), Jhpiego India, Save the Children India, and the Aga Khan Foundation, and contributed to USAID-supported initiatives. At MoHFW, she provided strategic and technical support to national nutrition and adolescent health programs, coordinating with multiple government departments and development partners to strengthen implementation and monitoring systems. She brings over 13 years of experience in program management, stakeholder engagement, technical assistance, and capacity building.

Dr. Wadhawan holds a medical degree and a Master’s in Public Health from BITS Pilani. She was also a Summer Fellow at IIM Udaipur under the Future Leaders in Development Program
