Prior to joining IDinsight, Isabel was an Associate Research Manager at Innovations for Poverty Action (IPA). At IPA, she successfully managed seven large-scale impact evaluations using experimental and quasi-experimental designs, including randomized controlled trials (RCTs). She also spearheaded MERL advisory work and technical capacity building for major Philippine institutions, including the Department of Social Welfare and Development, the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, and grassroots organizations in Visayas and Mindanao. Additionally, she serves as an Assistant Professorial Lecturer in the Department of Economics at De La Salle University. Isabel holds both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Economics under De La Salle University’s Honors Program. During her undergraduate studies, she was recognized as one of the Ten Outstanding Students of the Philippines (TOSP) and was awarded the title of Outstanding Economics Student of the Philippines. She also served as President of the DLSU Economics Organization, represented the Philippines as a national athlete, and received the Most Outstanding Undergraduate Thesis Award in her graduating batch.
