Julius Houehou (Senegal)

Senior Associate

Julius Houehou is a Senior Associate at IDinsight, based in Dakar, Senegal.

Julius is responsible for implementing research and capacity-building projects in West Africa, including designing and implementing rigorous impact evaluations and data-driven monitoring systems to ensure transparency and accountability in projects. He joined IDinsight in 2022 as an Associate and is rapidly growing into his current role.

Prior to joining IDinsight, Julius was a Statistician and Consultant at Cabinet T-Ventures in Benin, his home country, where he engaged in projects related to public finance, gender mainstreaming, and climate change integration into budgeting with the United Nations Development Program and the Collaborative African Budget Reform Initiative (CABRI). He also formerly interned with the US Embassy in Benin.

Julius holds a Master’s in Mathematics, Economics, and Statistics from the African School of Economics (ASE) and DTS (Licence) en Planification at Ecole Nationale d’Economie Appliquée et de Management (ENEAM). He is fluent in English, French, and Fon.
