Maadhav has been with IDinsight since May 2022. He spent his initial year as a client-facing associate and has since worked as a Junior Economist, ensuring the technical quality of projects across the regions. Notably, he led the sampling and data pipeline for the pan-India financial inclusion project. He has supported numerous education impact evaluations, including for Luminos, TaRL, FMPS, and UNICEF Vietnam. In addition, he has worked across governance, health, sanitation, and livelihoods sectors for Haske, APMI, Mukta, and Care LP. He also supported the Internal Learning Team with impact estimates using Bayesian Statistics and the creation of the Strategy Website. He has supported organization development by creating the Data Cleaning page and leading a Technical Bootcamp session. Prior to IDinsight, Maadhav did the Overseas Development Institute (ODI) fellowship. For most of his fellowship, he worked as an Economist for the Rwanda Development Board. There he provided technical analysis on industrial policy, competitiveness, and taxation—and led efforts for capacity building and process improvements for the organization. Previously, he was placed as a technical assistant at the Civil Services Agency in Liberia. He has also had brief stints at the Global Health Strategies, International Trade Centre, Enactus, and the Economic & Political Weekly. He graduated with a Masters in International Economics, specializing in development economics and international finance, from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies (IHEID), Geneva. He also holds a Bachelors’ in Economics from Kirorimal College, University of Delhi. He speaks Hindi, English, and French.
