Michael Sebele (Zambia)

Manager

Michael is Manager at IDinsight, based in Lusaka, Zambia.

Michael leads IDinsight’s efforts in using data for social impact by overseeing evaluations and advising on projects while managing client relationships and project delivery, including the creation of communications like briefs, reports, and presentations.

As an Associate and Senior Associate, Michael worked on various impact evaluations, M&E frameworks, rapid landscape and evidence reviews, and process evaluations regarding violence against children in schools in Uganda, accelerated learning programs in Liberia, community-managed bicycle distribution and maintenance programs in Zambia, social protection M&E frameworks in Zambia, and child pregnancy prevention in Kenya.

Prior to joining IDinsight, Michael worked as a researcher at Musika Development Initiatives, a Zambian non-profit company that works to stimulate private sector investment in the Zambian agricultural market to improve smallholder farmers’ access to improved markets. He has also previously worked as a Junior Analyst for the Industrial Development Corporation in Zambia, where he, among other things, reviewed the financial performance of IDC’s portfolio companies and conducted market research.

Michael holds a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Economics from the University of Zambia (best fourth-year student in Quantitative Methods and Research in Agricultural Economics) and an MBA (General) from the University of Lusaka.
