In this role, Mikka manages and supports data collection for projects with highly specialized and large-scale data needs. This involves leading highly-trained data collection teams, and facilitating the use of custom-built software to provide decision-makers with top-quality survey data at scale. Prior to IDinsight, Mikka was the Chief of Staff at the City Government of San Fernando, La Union where she served as a strategic advisor to the Mayor and provided support in running the day-to-day operations of the organization. She also co-founded Ritmo Learning Lab, an EdTech start-up and social enterprise that developed creative learning solutions for kids. As recognition for her work, she was selected as part of the inaugural cohort of the Obama Foundation Leaders Program for Asia-Pacific. Mikka holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the Ateneo de Manila University and an MPA from Harvard Kennedy School.
