At IDinsight, Mustafa Akolawala works with the data science and engineering team on AI-oriented full-stack products designed to create large-scale social impact. Prior to IDinsight, Mustafa worked on projects spanning AI, cloud, and full-stack development. His experience includes building machine learning models for financial forecasting, offline chatbots with open-source large language models, and translation tools using neural network fine-tuning. He has also developed multilingual speech-processing systems, streamlined deployments with CI/CD pipelines and containerization, and led cloud-based deployments on AWS and GCP. Mustafa completed his B.E. in Computer Engineering with a Minor in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning at Rizvi College of Engineering, Mumbai. He is fluent in English, Hindi, and Gujarati and understands Marathi well enough to navigate the streets of Mumbai and bargain like a local.
