At IDinsight, Prarthana contributes to the implementation of the Goal-Oriented Human Resource Management (GOHRM) project in Meghalaya, working closely with the Departments of Health, Rural Development, and Social Welfare to strengthen public sector systems and service delivery. Before joining IDinsight, Prarthana worked across research, policy, and development practice with organizations including Transitions Research, Center for Effective Governance of Indian States (CEGIS), National Institute of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj (NIRDPR), and Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati. Their work has spanned climate adaptation and resilience, local governance, nutrition, water, livelihoods, and socio-ecological transformation, with extensive field experience across Northeast India and collaborative research and practice across India and the Global South. Prarthana holds a Master’s degree in Economics from Gauhati University and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Cotton University. Outside work, Prarthana enjoys painting, illustration, reading, and spending time in the hills and landscapes of the Eastern Himalayas, where many of their intellectual and creative interests converge.
