Richard Kampamba (Zambia)

Senior Associate

Richard is a Senior Associate based in Lusaka, Zambia.

In this role, Richard supports the design and delivery of data- and evidence-driven projects and programs that help governments, donors, and development organizations make better decisions to improve lives. His work involves research, data analysis, stakeholder engagement, and translating complex findings into actionable recommendations.

Prior to IDinsight, Kampamba Richard worked as Programs Coordinator at Oxfam in Southern Africa and previously served as Programs Manager at ActionAid Zambia. In these roles, he led policy research and advocacy on public finance, taxation, debt, gender-responsive budgeting, and public service delivery, and managed public finance and governance programs from design through implementation, including monitoring and evaluation. His work supported evidence-based engagement with governments, parliaments, civil society organizations, and development partners.

Richard holds a Master of Arts in Economic Policy Management from the University of Zambia and a Master of Science in Public Finance and Taxation from the University of Lusaka. He also holds professional certifications in project management, public finance management, public sector debt statistics, and revenue forecasting and analysis.
