Rico Bergemann is a Manager at IDinsight, based in Germany. He leads projects in Eastern and Southern Africa supporting partners to design and implement decision-focused monitoring and evaluation systems. Rico has been implementing and continues to manage an on-going Impact Evaluation of GiveDirectly’s unconditional cash transfer program in Kiryandongo refugee settlement, Uganda. Prior to joining IDinsight, Rico gained experience in the public sector at the German Embassies in Zambia and South Africa. He worked for GIZ as an M&E Assistant in its HIV program in Zambia and was board member for a German NGO. Rico holds a B.A. in Political Science and Economics from Heidelberg University (Germany) and an M.Sc. in International Development and Management from Lund University (Sweden).
