Spero supports the development and implementation of data-driven solutions that help governments, nonprofits, and social enterprises improve decision-making and program performance. His work focuses on data analytics, monitoring systems, automation, and applying technology to generate actionable insights and strengthen operational effectiveness. He contributes to technical analyses, data quality processes, and evidence-generation initiatives that support high-impact development programs across Africa. Prior to joining IDinsight, Spero worked across international development, data, and digital innovation with organizations including OneWorld Bénin, myAgro, Africa Career Network, and TSIC Africa. He contributed to projects supported by international partners such as Transform Health, Oxfam, CARE International, UNFPA, UNAIDS, and Humanity & Inclusion. His experience spans data analysis, monitoring and evaluation, project management, and capacity building, alongside six years of experience teaching mathematics at the secondary-school level across Benin. Spero holds training in Economics, Statistics, and Applied Mathematics from Nantes Université, Université d’Abomey-Calavi, and the African School of Economics. He has also completed professional certifications in data science, analytics, and leadership from institutions including Harvard University, the University of Washington, and IBM.
