Steven Walker is a Manager at IDinsight, based in Manila, Philippines. Prior to joining IDinsight, Steven worked in India for three years on gender equality and education policy initiatives in partnership with the Indian government. Specifically, he led gender data projects aiming to utilize and advocate for better gender-disaggregated data to foster gender-responsive policymaking. Before India, he worked in Cambodia as a Peace Corps volunteer focusing on rural public health programmes, and later with UNICEF as a graduate intern in their Social Policy unit. Steven holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Virginia Commonwealth University and a Master of Public Policy from the University of Chicago.
