In his role, he engages with the field team for the effective execution of large-scale data collection and also contributes to the field and project execution strategy. Prior to IDinsight, Vikas worked with EasyGov(Surajya Services Ltd), a Govt-tech startup where he was closely associated with the e-Governance Department of the Government of Karnataka for the digitization and end-to-end implementation of schemes implemented by various departments. In his role, he worked closely with the bureaucrats and departments in training them to understand the integrated E-governance systems for onboarding various schemes onto the Suvidha Platform. He also gained experience by being part of various policy discussions and implementation. Vikas brings an excellent understanding of govt machinery along with a strong understanding of implementation strategy. Vikas also interned with prominent organisations like TERI (The Energy and Resources Institute) and Janaagraha Centre for Citizenship & Democracy for Urban Governance projects in the fields of Urban Mobility, Liveability and Civic-Tech. Vikas holds a Master’s degree in Public Policy and Governance from Azim Premji University, Bengaluru, and a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Sir M Visvesvaraya Institute of Technology, Bengaluru.
