Vishan Pattnaik is an Associate Director at IDinsight, based in New Delhi, India. Vishan leads IDinsight’s work on state capacity and performance management within the Indian government. At IDinsight, he has led partnerships with Indian government organizations like the Capacity Building Commission, NITI Aayog, and the state governments of Delhi, Meghalaya, and Himachal Pradesh. Prior to joining IDinsight, Vishan was a Gandhi Fellow and worked to empower headmasters of rural Indian government schools to improve the quality of education in their schools. He has a bachelor’s degree in Engineering Physics from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, and a master’s degree in Public Policy from the University of California, Berkeley. He is fluent in English, Hindi, and Odia.
