Landscape & Evidence Review

Full definition: Using desk research techniques to compile, analyze, and critically examine secondary sources (including external experts) to further our understanding of a particular topic or sector, in order to inform the next course of action. This rises to the level of a distinct service when the output of a review is provided as a deliverable.


State of Aadhaar: IDinsight designed and conducted a landscape review of Aadhaar, the State of Aadhaar Report 2016-17. The report covers Aadhaar’s technological and operational architecture, its legal and governance framework, and its applications in financial inclusion, social protection, and emerging uses in other sectors, such as health, education, and telecommunications. The project aims to inform state and central government actions on how to use Aadhaar to improve development efforts.
