Young is a Senior Manager at IDinsight based in Zambia & Malawi. Young leads project teams in evaluation, monitoring, and advisory work that leverages rigorous data and evidence to help leaders make informed decisions regarding social impact. In his role, Young manages client development strategies and relationships with key funders, NGOs, and other various stakeholders globally. In addition, Young currently oversees a growing portfolio of strategy and advisory work with parliamentarians and other government partners across Africa. Young joined IDinsight as an Associate and quickly rose to Senior Manager, holding four roles in less than six years. During his time as (Senior) Associate and Manager, Young spearheaded various projects across Africa, including Impact Evaluations in Nigeria, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Uganda, Ghana, and South Africa; Process Evaluations in Kenya and Uganda; and Advisory work with the governments of Ghana, Kenya, and Malawi. Young holds a Master of Arts in Applied Economics degree from The Columbian College of Arts and Sciences, The George Washington University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics with a minor in Psychology from Chancellor College, The University of Malawi.
