Chief of Staff, DataDelta

Bano Fatima is the Chief of Staff for DataDelta globally.

In her current role, Bano is supporting the DataDelta initiative that enables public sector decision-makers to use timely, high-quality, data-driven insights to improve decisions. She managed the ADP 2.0 project aimed at improving administrative data quality and empowering 112 aspirational districts across India.

Prior to joining IDinsight, Bano worked with PricewaterhouseCoopers as a management consultant. In her role, she advised a range of private sector, government and IDA clients such as the World Bank, ADB, multilateral and bilateral donors, etc. on institutional strengthening, policy development, country portfolio reviews, resource mobilization, program implementation and conducted research-based studies. She has worked with clients across India, Bangladesh, Sweden and Zambia.

Bano has also co-founded Weaver’s Hut, a social enterprise aimed at securing handloom-based sustainable livelihoods for weaver communities in Uttar Pradesh (India). She was the recipient of the HP LIFE and Global Citizen Young Entrepreneur Award in New York in 2013.

Bano holds a master’s degree in Development Studies from the Institute of Development Studies (IDS), University of Sussex. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Lady Shri Ram College, Delhi University, and is also a Young India Fellow.
