John oversees the productisation of the Evaluation and Monitoring Systems to optimise impact evaluations, and application of advanced data use cases such as Data Science, Machine Learning and other advanced analytics. Prior to IDinsight, John was a Senior Product Manager at Africa Leadership Group (ALG), specifically ALX and The Room brands. He led in the product development and data systems strategy aimed at optimising data tracking, impact assessment and reporting. As one of the founding PMs, John shaped the product processes and supported shaping the product team. John has also held different Technical or Strategic Leadership roles in various organisations such as Carnegie Mellon University Africa, Intel AI, Nova Pioneer and Intel She Will Connect Program (powered by Intel East Africa). John has a Master’s in Information Technology from Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) and a Bachelor’s in Mathematics and Computer Science from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT), amongst other certifications.
