Zack Devlin-Foltz

Zack is a Manager based at IDinsight’s office in Dakar, Senegal.

He brings more than seven years of experience in leadership and research on multiple continents.

Prior to joining IDinsight, Zack spent five years on active duty in the United States Marine Corps. As a Marine officer, he led troops forward deployed in the Pacific, ran a training team embedded with Guatemalan Marines, and served on the staff of a crisis response force aboard ships in the Middle East. Zack has also conducted research and language study in Egypt, Mali, and various parts of Latin America and worked in the stability operations section of DAI, a U.S.-based development implementer.

He holds a master’s in Global Affairs from Yale University’s Jackson Institute for Global Affairs, where he focused on quantitative research methods. He has a bachelor’s in Economics and Political Science (Honors) from Macalester College in Saint Paul, Minnesota.
