Dhruvi Joshi (Kenya)

Associate

Dhruvi is an Associate based in the Nairobi, Kenya office.

Prior to IDinsight, Dhruvi was a Princeton in Africa fellow, working as a Research and Technology Systems Officer at Lwala Community Alliance, a community-led health organization in Migori, Kenya. She scaled their data collection system and launched a new application using lessons from community health workers from the last five years. She trained community health workers in technical data collection for 1.2M people.

Dhruvi has worked at Sanergy, Regen Organics, a social agricultural enterprise combating the sanitation crisis through a circular economy approach. Dhruvi managed multiple projects valuing up to 230K USD across different teams.

Her interest in transportation networks led her to New York City’s Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) where she advanced congestion pricing and developed proposals for MTA’s organizational reform. Most recently, she worked as a Strategy Associate at Kyosk Digital Services, a digital and data-led distribution app for FMCG products to informal retailers/dukas.

Dhruvi holds a B.Sc. in Civil Engineering with a minor in Urban Planning from New York University (NYU) Abu Dhabi. She co-authored a publication: “Environmental footprint of regular and intensive inpatient care in a large US hospital” in The International Journal of Life Cycle Assessment. It highlights research on mapping waste disposal pathways across New York.
