Prior to joining IDinsight, El Mehdi garnered over a decade of experience in overseeing data collection efforts in both rural and urban settings in Morocco, working with various NGOs such as IPA, JICA, UNICEF, and BET. Since 2014, El Mehdi has taken charge of supervising over ten data collection projects for a diverse range of public and private stakeholders. In this capacity, he led teams of supervisors and enumerators in the field. Additionally, he has managed relationships with local authorities, municipal officials, and service providers. More recently, during the COVID-19 crisis in 2020, El Mehdi orchestrated the implementation of a remote follow-up survey to evaluate the impact of a flexible microcredit program, jointly undertaken by Innovations for Poverty Action (IPA) and Al Amana Microfinance. El Mehdi acquired proficiency in the SurveyCTO data collection software for both surveys and backchecks.
