In his role as Africa Chief of Staff, Krishna works directly with IDinsight’s Africa Lead to develop new relationships across the continent, implement IDinsight’s regional strategy, and contribute to organisational management across our Africa offices. He also manages selected client-facing engagements with strategic partners. Krishna spent over two years as a client-facing team member, working with governments and foundations in Zambia, India, South Africa, Ghana and Zimbabwe. He spent a year embedded within the Ghanaian Ministry of Education, designing and evaluating improvements to national education policy. Most recently, he was advising a large Zimbabwean philanthropist on designing and monitoring nationwide interventions in Zimbabwe. He was also part of the teams that established IDinsight’s operations in South Africa and Ghana. Prior to joining IDinsight, Krishna worked at the Botswana Institute for Development Policy Analysis and Econsult Botswana, focussing on projects related to macroeconomic policy in Botswana. Krishna holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics (honours) from Cambridge University, and a Master’s degree in International and Development Economics from Yale University. He is a recipient of the Top Achievers scholarship from the Government of Botswana, which fully funded his degrees.
