Kyla Longman (Kenya)

Junior Economist II

Kyla Longman is a Junior Economist at IDinsight, based in Nairobi, Kenya.

Kyla is a member of the Research, Evaluation and Data (RED) team. She works on a
portfolio of projects involving impact evaluations and mixed methods approaches,
where she helps project teams with designing evaluation and analysis plans in
addition to providing technical reviews.

Prior to joining IDinsight, Kyla was a Research Manager at Innovations for Poverty
Action (IPA) in Uganda, where she managed data collection and analysis for large-
scale impact evaluations and surveys in the sectors of education, digital finance,
social cohesion, and consumer protection. Prior to this, she worked in the
humanitarian sector as a Monitoring and Evaluation Manager and Research
Consultant in several countries in the middle east.

Kyla holds a master’s degree in Research Methods for International Development
from SOAS, University of London and a BA in Middle Eastern Studies and Political
Science from Boston College.
