Lorreen Ajiambo (Kenya)

Lorreen Ajiambo is the Associate Director and Global Lead for Strategic Communications at IDinsight, based in Nairobi, Kenya.

She oversees IDinsight’s global communication strategy and ensures that the organization’s mission and impact are effectively communicated to stakeholders and partners. She also works on building IDinsight’s brand across our 6 regions and increasing the visibility of our work.

Prior to this, Lorreen was a Senior Manager, in the Strategic Communications team, where she supported project teams in Africa and Asia to meet their communications objectives through disseminating their findings and learnings using conventional and new media. Her expertise in integrating traditional media with digital platforms was pivotal in expanding IDinsight’s reach and influence on a global scale.

Before joining IDinsight, Lorreen was the East Africa Public Policy and Communications Manager at Bolt where she built and managed relationships with high-level stakeholders and regulators within East African governments. She also built Bolt’s brand and reputation from the ground up, leading the company’s expansion across the region and scaling trip numbers by 15X within 12 months. Before joining Bolt, she worked as a marketing specialist for Uber where she built their local social media presence.

Lorreen has held various marketing and communications roles over the last 11 years and has successfully supported different companies to build their brands. Her strategic insight and innovative approach have been instrumental in elevating the profile of the organizations she’s worked with, earning her recognition as a thought leader in strategic communications.

Lorreen has a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Chemistry from Kenyatta University and speaks English and Swahili.
