Mallika focuses on IDinsight’s strategic initiatives, currently leading efforts to help partners thoughtfully and responsibly adopt AI for maximum social impact. She is based in New Haven, Connecticut. Over her nearly ten years of experience in global development, Mallika has built a diverse track record of driving evidence-based decision-making. From 2022 to 2024, she served as Chief of Staff to multiple IDinsight CEOs, helping guide organizational priorities and transitions at the executive level. Before stepping into this role, she spent five years doing client-facing work across four regions: East Africa, Southern Africa, West Africa, and India. During this time, she led complex projects spanning our diverse service portfolio, including randomized controlled trials (RCTs), deep qualitative research, M&E advisory, and data systems work. Prior to joining IDinsight, Mallika was a consultant at The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, TB and Malaria, working on grant portfolio support, and did brief stints at the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights in Geneva, and Innovations for Poverty Action, Zambia. Mallika holds a Master’s in Development Studies from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies (IHEID), Geneva, and a bachelor’s degree in Economics (Honours) from Shri Ram College of Commerce, Delhi University. She speaks English, Hindi, and enough French to satisfy an exacting IRB board.
