Oumaima Waaziz (Morocco)

Oumaima Waaziz is an Associate at IDinsight based in Rabat, Morocco.

Oumaima’s client-facing position involves project management, leading workstreams, and managing internal communications and external client relations. Her experience includes developing research design, data collection and analysis, and presenting results to help development leaders make evidence-based decisions.

Prior to joining IDinsight, Oumaima worked as a research assistant at Chaire Claire-Bonenfant – Femmes, Savoirs et Sociétés at Université Laval, where she handled data cleaning and analysis of a survey on sexist and sexual violence in the professional environment of Canadian international cooperation. She was also a research intern at the Center for Agricultural Innovation and Technology Transfer at Mohammed VI Polytechnic University, where she informed development actors on the potential of gender-responsive budgeting in fostering gender equality in agricultural development projects. In addition, Oumaima worked as a teaching assistant at Mohammed VI Polytechnic University supervising two undergraduate classes.

Oumaima holds a master’s degree in Economic Analysis and Public policy from Mohammed VI Polytechnic University and a bachelor’s in Finance from Cadi Ayyad University. She speaks Arabic, French, and English and has a basic knowledge of Mandarin.
