Paul A. Rubin is Professor Emeritus of Management Science at Michigan State University, where he taught for 33 years at the Eli Broad College of Business. Trained in mathematics and statistics, his primary research interest is in the application of integer programming models and algorithms. A longtime member of the Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences (INFORMS), Paul has in recent years been involved with their Pro Bono Analytics (PBA) initiative. PBA helps nonprofit and community organizations, particularly those focused on underserved communities, structure analytics projects addressing their business needs. It then connects them with volunteers eager to assist on those projects. Paul is also active on several operations research online forums.
