Rob Sampson leads the Impact Improvement Team at IDinsight where he works to increase IDinsight’s impact and team health through enabling internal teams with better data, tools, and resources. Rob’s divides his time on the Impact Improvement Team between two primary initiatives. He leads the Internal Learning team whose objective is to generate and use data, especially impact data, to improve decision-making and learning within IDinsight. He also leads an effort to improve the tools and resources IDinsighters use to run projects so that they can run projects more efficiently, with higher quality, and with greater individual sustainability. Prior to founding the Impact Improvement Team, Rob led partner engagements based out of IDinsight’s New Delhi office. He specialized in leading open-ended learning partnerships with NGOs and foundations that used IDinsight’s full range of services, especially process evaluations, monitoring systems, and data science. He has led engagements with BRAC, Central Square Foundation, Educate Girls, Evidence Action, Indus Action, Tata Trusts, and others. Rob holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Ohio University and an MPA in International Development (MPA/ID) from Harvard Kennedy School. He speaks English and Spanish.
